We wish to create a space where we not only inspire our guest, but to house staff that fall truly in love with the industry & all it has to offer by constantly supporting individuals into a career for them to grow & evolve in.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

At Ame Studio, we value the act of slowing down and taking time for self-care. Each service delivered with intention and supported with a luxury sensory experience including scalp & hand rituals, gorgeous homemade treats and cheese platters provided by The Bay Butler serving some of Hunter Valley’s best dairy. Our menu has an array of premium hand blended herbal tea made right here in Newcastle, The Tea Collective which our guest can also purchase to continue their rituals of self-care at home.

We recycle up to 95% of salon waste. We Take pride knowing we partner with Sustainable Salons which ensures your time spent with us has minimal impact on the environment, for a $3 contribution from each guest we are able to recycle all foil, colour tubes and even hair clippings which are hand made into hair booms to help soak up oil spills in our oceans and now are being used to preserve the power in Solar Batteries

. We ask you enjoy your time with us by immersing your senses in all we have to offer. Taking time to rest, reset and create your own scalp, hair and soul ritual.

Ame Studio Policies

Effective as of the 1st January 2023.

DEPOSIT POLICY

NEW GUEST

For all appointments we will require a 30% deposit which must be paid at the time of booking, and it will be required that we store your card details securely on your file.

EXISTING GUEST

For all existing colour guest we will require $100 deposit to be on your account at all times in order to secure your future appointments

ALL DEPOSITS MUST BE PAID AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.

Cancellation policy and confirmation:

We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary; therefore, we respectfully require 48 hours notice for cancellations or changes to the service scheduled. If you cancel your appointment with less then 48 hours notice, you will be charged for 50% the cost of the service scheduled. Same day cancellations (which are considered 12 hours or less from the appointment time) will be charged 100% the cost of the service scheduled, no exceptions. Should this happen more than once, it will prohibit you from scheduling future appointments with Ame Studio Hair Salon.

No Call / No Shows

If you do not show up on the scheduled date and time of your appointment, you will be charged 100% the cost of the service scheduled. No refunds will be given and no exceptions made. This will then prohibit you from scheduling future appointments with Ame Studio Hair Salon.

Cell Phones & Devices

We ask all guests to please keep your mobile phones on silent or to bring headphones. We want to ensure all guests while at their appointments have a relaxing, undisturbed experience. 

Tardiness

Here at Ame Studio we have a 15 minute lateness policy. If you are running late, please text us to let us know. Should you arrive beyond 15 minutes late, you may have to forfeit your appointment completely and you will be charged 100% the cost of the services scheduled. Should this happen more than once, it will prohibit you from scheduling future services at Ame Studio.

Credit Card Required

A credit card is required to be kept on file to schedule an appointment. We require 24 hours notice to CANCEL an appointment. In the case that 24 hours notice is not given for a cancellation/rescheduling, Ame Studio Hair Salon reserves the right to and will charge the credit card on file.

Confirmation Email/ Text

24 hours prior to your appointment, you will receive a reminder email and text which you will need to follow the prompts to confirm. If unable to confirm please call the salon and ask our team to confirm or reschedule for you. If you do not confirm, your appointment will be cancelled and our cancellation policy will apply. Please understand that it is your responsibility to remember your appointment dates and times to avoid late arrivals, missed/cancelled appointments and the cancellation fee.

*Please note: When you arrive for your appointment, you will be given our Salon Policy form that must be filled out and signed*

IT IS OUR PRIORITY TO CONDUCT THOROUGH CONSULTATIONS FOR ALL SERVICES PROVIDED THROUGH THE SALON, HOWEVER IT IS EACH CLIENT'S PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY TO BE UPFRONT AND HONEST ABOUT THEIR HAIR HISTORY. ANY DAMAGE CAUSED TO THE HAIR AS A RESULT OF UNDIVULGED INFORMATION DURING THE CONSULTATION IS NOT THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STYLIST OR AME STUDIO HAIR SALON.
